It's been so long since I've written a post that I almost forgot my blogger login! I've been a bit MIA these past couple of months. To say I was under the weather would be the understatement of the century (or at least it would feel that way to me). I have been temporarily out of commission thanks to someone that today is the size of a medium shrimp. I'm pregnant!
While I'm filled with all kinds of feelings and emotions, we're still in day-to-day mode. My morning sickness has been pretty awful, so survival was my first priority. Thankfully I'm entering my second trimester and was able to get my hands on some really good drugs, so I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Now if someone could just tell me how to handle all of the needle pokes pregnancy requires, I would be smooth sailing!
Todd and I feel very blessed to be on this journey together. If I ever needed a reminder that I married the perfect person for me, each day of this pregnancy has been just that. He has been amazing. Not only has he done all the cooking and cleaning, but he handled my sickness like a champ. Just ask him about the Taco Bell drive-thru experience and you'll know what I'm talking about!
Hoping to be a more regular visitor to this blog. Lots of new and exciting changes to report in the Stepp house!

Has anyone else had to yell their order at the drive thru speaker because the person in the passenger seat was puking violently?
ReplyDeleteI have.
:)
Congratulations again! That's so wonderful. Well, not the puking part, but the rest. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting to see this blog post... since I know you would not leave us followers hangin!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you guys. I'm looking forward to seeing more updates and I pray that your sickness subsides SOON!!
I am not a fan of violent vomiting. Mike has had to clean up a lot of non pregnancy-related vomit. Maybe God will take that into account when it's my turn.:) I am so happy and excited for you and Todd. Yay family! Yay shrimp babies!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! That's awesome. I can't wait to follow as your family grows. You will never know love like you are about to! What a blessing :) Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteTara, I'm so glad you're back! I almost texted you so many times to ask if you had moved your blog! I had no idea you were feeling so sick! Ugh. Sorry, friend. It will definitely be worth it 6 months from now though!! :) Love you guys and praying for baby S!
ReplyDeleteSo happy and excited for you! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteTodd's comment cracked me up! SOOO excited about this and can't wait to talk to you about it verrrry soon :) And honey, I threw up multiple times a day until I was about 15 or 16 weeks, so I empathize with you in every way. There is just no way of describing how awful it is. But I am here to tell you it will all be worth it in the end! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Tara and Todd!! I am so excited for you both as you begin this beautiful journey! Hang in there Tara, it will get better! I was VERY sick with Caroline and the drugs got me through it until that part was over! Sending love and prayers! Stacey Matlock
